Derek Fisher hosted the annual Derek Fisher Basketball Academy this past June 25-29. He created this camp to give basketball players from ages 7-15 a chance to learn how to play the game in a fun, passionate, and creative way.

The coaches and staff treat all levels of players equally and break down the basic fundamentals of basketball. They teach footwork, ball handling, shooting and place an emphasis on defense. It’s Derek Fisher’s goal to mold children and teens into skilled players and to have them learn the game in a fun and exciting environment.

Fish loves to see the improvement of all the kids from the beginning to the end of the camp, but he also enjoys seeing kids from diverse backgrounds come together to play a game that they love.

Both the parents and campers enjoy their time at the Derek Fisher Basketball Academy and they are grateful for Derek Fisher’s enthusiasm for helping younger generations learn and understand the game.
