This weekend, Derek Fisher joined the hottest—or perhaps coldest—trend on social media right now: the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The Ice Bucket Challenge is a viral video trend that raises money and awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Participants are required to have a bucket of ice cold water dumped over their head, or donate money to the ALS Association—or both.

D-Fish was nominated by former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Kendrick Perkins. He accepted and was doused with a 17-gallon plastic tub full of cold water, which he posted on Instagram.

The New York Knicks head coach carried it on by nominating former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant, Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant, Tyrese Gibson and P. Diddy.

Kobe, Dez and Tyrese have all accepted the call to action:

Meanwhile, the clock is still ticking for Diddy to ice up or donate $10,000 to the ALS Association.
