The Oklahoma City Thunder line up just became a lot stronger.
On Sunday night, Derek Fisher and his Thunder teammates welcomed back point guard Russell Westbrook, months after he suffered a knee injury during last season’s playoffs.
With Westbrook’s help, the Thunder won, 103-96, at home against the Phoenix Suns.
“The biggest thing, and I’ve been saying it forever – he wins,” Thunders head coach Scott Brooks said about the return of Westbrook. “The guy plays the game like it’s supposed to be played, with everything he has, every single night.”
While the focus was on Westbrook’s return to the Thunder line up, D-Fish had a quiet but solid game.
Derek contributed nine points, two assists, a rebound and two steals while playing 20 minutes. He helped the Thunder shooting average reach 42 percent during the game after he recorded three shots out of four attempts. In addition, Derek was three for three from the line.
