Derek Fisher has held several important distinctions throughout his NBA career: point guard of five NBA champion teams, clutch three-point shooter and even President of the National Basketball Players’ Association, but the distinction bestowed upon Derek this week was one of the biggest ones of his life.
Derek participated in the final week of campaigning for President Barack Obama in his drive ro be re-elected as the President of the United States and was tasked with making speeches and rallying support in an important swing state, North Carolina. He documented the experience through his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

After his task was completed and Derek had accomplished another goal to get his candidate, President Barack Obama, re-elected, D-Fish urged citizens on both sides of the spectrum to unite and work together to make our country a better place now and for the future.
Our democratic system has spoken. Let’s move this country forward together as a people!
