In the final game of the regular season, Derek Fisher sported a smooth shooting touch from deep, going 2-3 from behind the three point line on Wednesday night.
D-Fish’s three-point prowess will be needed in the playoffs because no player has hit more three in an NBA Finals than Derek Fisher.
Fish logged 30 minutes in the finale, after head coach Phil Jackson rested him on Tuesday against Sacramento and although the Lakers dropped the finale, 107-91 to their Staples Center roommates the Los Angeles Clippers, Fish’s performance was a plus.
On top of his 2-3 from the line, Fish also hit both his free throw attempts, on his way to eight points on the evening. No. 2’s lone assist also gave him 201 for the season, marking the sixth straight year he’s gone over the 200 dime mark.
