A bruised hip won’t keep Derek Fisher from hitting a career milestone.
Tonight at the Staples Center, No. 2 will be in uniform for his 400th straight game as the Lakers do battle against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Los Angeles has won nine straight against the T-Wolves.
The last time these two teams met up, No. 2 was an equal-opportunity assist man, finding four of his teammates for six assists, including five in the first quarter. Los Angeles won that game handily, 104-92.
It seems Fish just loves dishing dimes against Minnesota, last season recording 15 in four games. He also got on the scoreboard, averaging over nine points a game.
The Lakers and Wolves tip off at 7:30 p.m. PST and the game will be shown on FOX West.
The Lakers remain in LA all weekend, welcoming the Washington Wizards to the Staples Center on Sunday. Fish had eight points and two assists in the first meeting between LA and Washington, a 115-103 win.
