On Saturday, Derek Fisher and the Los Angeles Lakers continue their road trip as they face the New Jersey Nets, and they’ll be looking for their fifth straight victory over NJ.
Los Angeles has owned New Jersey as of late, last losing in November of 2007.
The Lakers and Nets are remarkably disparate this year, with Los Angeles at 20-4 holding a four game lead in the Pacific Division, while the Nets, at 2-24, are 19 games out of first in the Atlantic.
Although in their most recent meeting Fish only went for five points, as of late he’s been a scoring machine. In their past five meetings, No. 2 has gone off for 18 or more points in three of the games, including a 28 point outburst in February 2008.
