Derek and the Lake Show play host to the Philadelphia 76ers tonight at the Staples Center with a chance to sweep the season series from the Sixers for the second straight year.

The Lakers went to Philly on December 3 and took the only other meeting between the two teams this season with a 114-102 victory. D-Fish scored seven points while dishing out four assists and grabbing five boards. No. 2 also picked a pocket for a steal in the win.

Going back several years, Derek has fond memories of playing the Sixers. No. 2 had a great NBA Finals series against Philadelphia in June of 2001, averaging 9.8 points per game in LA’s four games to one championship win. In the clincher, D-Fish scored 18 points, knocking down six of eight three-pointers as the Lakers claimed their second straight NBA title.

The Lakers (53-13) and 76ers (33-31) tip-off at 7:30 PST and all the action can be seen live in LA on FSN. Radio coverage is provided by Spero Dedes and Mychal Thompson on KLAC AM 570.
