Derek and the Lakers can’t be looking forward to the next trip to Portland.  

In their latest visit, LA suffered another defeat at the Rose Garden, falling 111-94 in a game that was never close.

Derek scored all five of his points in the third quarter on a 2-2 trip to the free throw line and a 25-foot three, but LA was already trailing by 20 at that point and there was nothing any of the Lakers could do to slow Portland down.

“The reality is that they are up for this game, the town is up for the game, they point to these games and we don’t meet the energy,” Jackson said.

Much like LA’s blowout victory over Minnesota on Friday, Derek played limited minutes when the game got out of hand and was in the game for just under 24 minutes. He

It doesn’t get any easier for the Lakers this week as they continue a brutal road trip through the Western Conference’s elite teams Wednesday night against the Rockets in Houston.
