Derek and the Lakers return to the floor tonight looking to extend their post All-Star winning streak to five games when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The two teams met two weeks ago for the first time since the former Seattle Supersonics set up shop in Oklahoma City last summer.
Derek scored just four points in that contest but led the way with three steals as the Lakers survived a test from the young Thunder in a 105-98 victory.
ROAD TESTED
As they march along their league-leading season, the Lakers have proved particularly efficient on the road. Their 20-6 mark away from home is unmatched in the association and the road warriors will look to continue their visiting dominance tonight.
Individually, Derek is averaging 11.4 points and 3.1 assists per game on the road. His 4:05 assist to turnover rate away from Staples Center easily leads the team.
LA will also look to solve their two-game losing streak at Oklahoma City’s Ford Center. The Lake Show was 0-2 in OKC when the Hornets briefly made the Ford Center their home after Hurricane Katrina.
The Lakers and the Thunder tip off at 5 p.m. PST and all the action can be seen live in Los Angeles on KCAL. Radio coverage provided by KLAC AM 570.
